This one is for the shopaholics!

A friend of mine has given me this tip and I’m giving it to you. It’s a report at Veja Rio that contains 30 amazing places for you to go shopping without spending too much. The brands are some of the best in Rio and all of them are so damn fashion! I know you love it! Here you are some of them:

– OFF ANIMALE
With two locations in the city, the brand works with pieces from the previous collections – discount of 50% in every item.

Pretty and cheap jeans. IND manufactures models for brands like LeeLoo, Maria Bonita, Mariazinha, Isabella Capeto, Farm and Sacada, but sells the pants without the labels known, of course. The prices offset: pants from R$ 69.00 to $ 99.00. And they make repairs and adjustments, if necessary.

this Saturday is bargain day

Every fisrt Saturday of the month in Lapa: Mercado Mistureba. It is the coolest fashion fair in Rio, with more than 40 new designers. And great news! On the other Saturdays, the fair takes place at the Bar Emporio, in Ipanema.

It is a great place to find bikinis, cute dresses and necklaces, purses in leather or denim, to go out at night or to the day-by-day… And what’s best, everything for less than R$50,

Where to go: Choperia Brazooka
R. Mem de Sá, 70 – Lapa. from 11am to 6pm

Hey you! We haven’t finished. There’s Lavradio’s Fair, that also happens at the first Sat of the month. This one takes place in all the extension of Rua do Lavradio from 10am to 7pm. It is an antiquarian, a secondhand shop and you’ll find loads of things, such as decoration, accessories, fashion, toys, books, and so on.

For the market is not only about shopping – there’s always live music in the street, especially choro and samba, sometimes drama and dance, usually in the afternoon. And all the bars and restaurants around put tables in the outdoors, the atmosphere is of joy and party, not to mention the surrounds: the charming old Rio.

Havaianas

Havaianas is the ultimate footwear to parade in carioca beaches . These rubber sandals almost stick in your feet, ’cause you don’t want to wear anything else anymore. It’s cheap, stylish and comfortable.

It is really easy to find a pair of them, they are sold all over the city: in supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and fashion stores. Prices differ a lot depending on the model and also on the place where you buy them – the official stores are always the most expensive. 

 Here you go a list of places I think stand out as selling points with wider selections and the best prices:

Kikarnes
R. Visconde de Pirajá 224 – Ipanema 2523-3625. A small supermarket with a big selection of Havaianas.

MG Bazar
R. Figueiredo de Magalhães 414 – Copacabana 2548-1664. Probably the most well stocked Havaiana store in Rio de Janeiro.

There are other two locations that I cant list right now but as soon as I get the adress, you’ll have them all. One of them is at Leblon, close to Shopping Leblon, the other is at Ipanema, at Farme de Amoedo St.
